BOWLS NSW AWARD WINNER!
At the Bowls NSW annual Awards Night held at Wenty Leagues Club last night, Pennant Hills Bowling Club were proud to receive the Community Engagement Award, shared with Hillsdale BC. This honor recognizes the dedication and passion behind all the activities and initiatives we implement to promote and develop our bowls program.
We want to acknowledge the small, yet tireless army of club member volunteers who are essential to the success of these activities. Their commitment allows the Club to create a vibrant and engaging environment for all bowlers.
In partnership with the Club, we’ve launched an innovative, inclusive, and welcoming program designed to recruit new bowlers and nurture our existing community. Pennant Hills Bowling Club’s current activities include:
• Full participation in Regional (Zone & District) pennants, challenge events, and special competitions.
• Hosting tournaments that bring together bowlers from all backgrounds.
• Five social bowls days each week, fostering a sense of community and enjoyment.
• Twilight bowls every Wednesday night, providing a unique evening experience.
• Jack Attack events held twice a year, introducing newcomers to the sport in a fun format.
• Volunteer maintenance and nurturing of our gardens, enhancing the beauty of our facility.
• Offering volunteer assistance with Barefoot Bowls groups when requested.
• Welcoming over 170 high school students from 15 schools onto our greens this year.
• Hosting weekly programs for Pennant Hills HS, Normanhurst BHS, Barker College, and St Leos College over 36 weeks of the year.
• Organizing Youth Tournaments twice a year, encouraging young talent to thrive.
Congratulations to every club member contributor! This award is a testament to our collective efforts and the vibrant community we are building together.
Thank you for your dedication and support!
